Merial Oramec Drench For Sheep

Product Description

Uses:

• A pale yellow, free flowing aqueous solution containing 0.08% w/v ivermectin for oral administration.
• The product is indicated for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms and nasal bots of sheep.
• The product at the recommended dose rate of 200 mcg ivermectin per kg bodyweight provides effective control against the following parasites of sheep:
• Gastro-intestinal roundworms (adult and immature): Haemonchus contortus, Teladorsagia circumcincta, Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Nematodirus spp. including N. battus, Strongyloides papillosus, Oesophagostomum spp. and adult Chabertia ovina.
• Inhibited larval stages and benzimidazole-resistant strains of H. contortus and T. circumcincta are also controlled.
• Lungworms (adult and immature): Dictyocaulus filaria.
• Nasal bot (all larval stages): Oestrus ovis.

Dosage: 

• Oral administration with a dosing gun of 2.5 ml per 10 kg bodyweight (corresponding to the recommended dose rate of 0.2 mg ivermectin per kg bodyweight).
• The dosing gun should be calibrated sufficiently accurately to ensure precise dosing of young sheep.
• To ensure administration of a correct dose, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible; accuracy of the dosing device should be checked.
• Do not mix with other products.

Contraindications: 

• The product has been formulated specifically for use in sheep. Do not use in other species, as severe adverse reactions, including fatalities in dogs, may occur.
• Care should be taken to avoid the following practices because they increase the risk of development of resistance and could ultimately result in ineffective therapy:
• Too frequent and repeated use of anthelmintics from the same class, over an extended period of time.
• Underdosing, which may be due to underestimation of body weight, misadministration of the product, or lack of calibration of the dosing device (if any).
• Suspected clinical cases of resistance to anthelmintics should be further investigated using appropriate tests (e.g. Faecal Egg Count Reduction Test). Where the results of the test(s) strongly suggest resistance to a particular anthelmintic, an anthelmintic belonging to another pharmacological class and having a different mode of action should be used. Resistance to macrocyclic lactones (which includes ivermectin) has been reported in Teladorsagia spp. in sheep within the EU. Therefore, the use of this product should be based on local (regional, farm) epidemiological information about susceptibility of nematodes and recommendations on how to limit further selection for resistance to anthelmintics.
• Some sheep may cough immediately after treatment. This passing response is of no consequence.
• Ewes may be treated at any stage of pregnancy.
• Withdrawal Period: Meat and offal: 6 days.
• Do not use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
• If milk is to be used for human consumption animals should not be treated within 60 days prior to the commencement of lactation.

When you have selected the item(s) you wish to Click & Collect, add them to your basket and follow the instructions to proceed to the checkout. On the delivery options page you can then select which of our stores you wish to collect your order from. We aim for your order to be ready to collect for your chosen collection date/time, if stock is available at your chosen store. You will have 7 days to collect your order from your collection date once it is ready. Payment for Click & Collect orders is either completed online when you place your order, or can be taken at the tills in your local store upon collection. Mole Avon account holders will be able to receive their discount and book the order to their account if required. Delivery

Delivery is available on any qualifying products available on our website. The product must be available from our Crediton store to be valid for delivery. Standard delivery (3 to 5 working days) under 20kg is £2.25. Standard delivery (3 to 5 working days) over 20kg is from £5.99. Express delivery (1 to 2 working days) under 20kg is £5.99. Express delivery (1 to 2 working days) over 20kg is from £6.99. Additional delivery charges for larger items and non Mainland UK postcodes apply. Returns

If you wish to return an item that you ordered with online via Click & Collect, please take the item(s) to your local store along with your order confirmation. If you wish to return or exchange an item that you ordered online via Delivery, please go to www.moleavon.co.uk/returns. Please fill out the returns form and email to web@moleavon.co.uk. Please also post your item(s) back to Online Returns, Mole Avon Country Stores, Joseph Locke Way, Crediton, EX17 3FD. Once we have received your item(s), we will process a refund. In order to receive a refund or exchange you must: Provide proof of purchase for the item(s) being returned. Return the item(s) within 28 days of being purchased. Return the item(s) in a resellable condition with its original packaging unless faulty.

Local Delivery

Local FREE deliveries are available to anyone within a 20 mile radius of our Country Stores upon request (FREE for a minimum order of £350 or over), deliveries under £350 will be charged at a standard rate of £35. Deliveries are kerbside only and at the drivers discretion. Any deliveries requiring more than one person or outside of our local delivery area will incur additional fees.
