Product Description

Uses:

For the treatment of roundworm infections in puppies and young dogs up to one year of age caused by:

Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina
Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria, stenocephala
Whipworm: Trichuris vulpis

Dosage:

Give 1 ml/kg of bodyweight. This equates to 15 mg/kg bodyweight febantel and 5 mg/kg bodyweight of pyrantel (as embonate) corresponding to 14.4 mg/kg pyrantel embonate.
Underdosing could result in ineffective use and may favour resistance development. To ensure administration of the correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.
Ascarid roundworm infestation may occur in dogs at a very young age due to infection whilst within the womb, or via the mother’s milk. For some animals, especially in case of severe infections, elimination of ascarids may be incomplete, and a potential risk of infections to humans cannot be excluded. Where epidemiologically appropriate, it is recommended that treatment should be started at 2 weeks of age and should be performed repeatedly at suitable intervals (for example every 2 weeks), until weaning. Otherwise treatment should be based upon confirmed infection, for example the results of faecal examinations.
The need for and frequency of re-treatment(s) should be based on professional advice (from a veterinarian or suitably qualified professional) and should take into account the local epidemiological situation and the animal’s lifestyle.

Contraindications:

Do not use simultaneously with compounds containing piperazine as piperazine may block the action of pyrantel embonate contained in the product. Other worming products may contain piperazine.
Do not use simultaneously with other worming products without veterinary advice. Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not use during pregnancy.
Do not use in lactating bitches.
The safety of the product has not been assessed in puppies younger than 2 weeks and weighing less than 0.6 kg.

Delivery is available on any qualifying products available on our website. The product must be available from our Crediton store to be valid for delivery. Standard delivery (3 to 5 working days) under 20kg is £2.25. Standard delivery (3 to 5 working days) over 20kg is from £5.99. Express delivery (1 to 2 working days) under 20kg is £5.99. Express delivery (1 to 2 working days) over 20kg is from £6.99. Additional delivery charges for larger items and non Mainland UK postcodes apply. Returns

If you wish to return an item that you ordered with online via Click & Collect, please take the item(s) to your local store along with your order confirmation. If you wish to return or exchange an item that you ordered online via Delivery, please go to www.moleavon.co.uk/returns. Please fill out the returns form and email to web@moleavon.co.uk. Please also post your item(s) back to Online Returns, Mole Avon Country Stores, Joseph Locke Way, Crediton, EX17 3FD. Once we have received your item(s), we will process a refund. In order to receive a refund or exchange you must: Provide proof of purchase for the item(s) being returned. Return the item(s) within 28 days of being purchased. Return the item(s) in a resellable condition with its original packaging unless faulty.

Local Delivery

Local FREE deliveries are available to anyone within a 20 mile radius of our Country Stores upon request (FREE for a minimum order of £350 or over), deliveries under £350 will be charged at a standard rate of £35. Deliveries are kerbside only and at the drivers discretion. Any deliveries requiring more than one person or outside of our local delivery area will incur additional fees.
